Dedicated to supporting low to moderate-income and special needs populations by providing programs and opportunities for grant funding of public services that support affordable housing and improve public facilities and infrastructure.

This program also studies housing and public services to analyze and respond future community needs. 

Housing Assistance Programs

The goal of assistance programs is to alleviate short-term financial stress for families and individuals or to provide much needed resources that help to navigate housing issues. These programs and resources include:

• Rent and Mortgage Assistance
• Affordable Housing
• Fair Housing

Funding for Community Development

Federal grant funding for local government and non-profit agencies to support affordable, healthy and accessible community development including: 

• Community Development Block Grants -  for projects that promote the health, safety and self sufficiency of low to moderate-income persons and neighborhoods.
• HOME Investment Partnership Funds - for projects that provide affordable housing in the county
• Private Activity Bonds - to finance the development of affordable housing or economic development activities within the county
