[ARCHIVED] National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day

Drug graphic with date

National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day is an opportunity to rid your home of unused or expired prescription and over-the-counter medications. The Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office is sponsoring three drive-up locations. You won't even have to get out of your car!

Kaiser Permanente

5555 E. Arapahoe Road

Smoky Hill Library

5430 S. Biscay Circle

Centennial Medical Plaza

14200 E. Arapahoe Road

(parking lot on west side of building)

Centennial Medical Plaza will be the only location where we can accept sharps (including Epi-pens).

Items we cannot accept at any location:

  • Mercury (thermometers)
  • Oxygen containers
  • Chemotherapy drugs or radioactive substances
  • Pressurized canisters
  • Illicit drugs

For additional locations throughout the metro area, visit the DEA website. If you have medications you want to dispose of, but can't make it to a drop off location, we do offer a drug drop box in our lobby. Visit the drug drop box page on our website for more information.
