[ARCHIVED] Man Arrested in Double Fatal Accident

An 18-year-old man has been arrested in a double fatal accident that shut down S. Colorado Boulevard at E. Peakview Circle for hours earlier today. Taden Jones, of Centennial, was arrested and booked at the Arapahoe County Detention Facility for two counts of vehicular homicide, and one count each of DUI, reckless driving and possession of a forged instrument. His bond is $50,000.

Deputies were called to the area at approximately 3:40 p.m. on Friday, April 1. The accident involved to vehicles. One adult female was ejected and pronounced deceased at the scene. A second woman from the same vehicle was transported to the hospital, but later died.

One adult male passenger in the other vehicle was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. Jones and one other passenger were not transported.

While an arrest has been made, deputies do still have additional investigation to complete. The road was closed for four hours and reopened at about 7:35 p.m.
