After 44 years of sharing public health resources with its neighbors, Arapahoe County on Jan. 1, 2023 will open the doors to its own, single-county Public Health department.

While we are ready to assist with any public health emergencies beginning on Jan. 1, Arapahoe County employees will gather for their first day on Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2023, following closures for the New Year’s holiday. Employees spend their first day in meetings and orientation. Services to the public will be available beginning on Wednesday, Jan. 4.

Tri-County Health Department will dissolve on Saturday, Dec. 31, 2022, and all non-emergency services will cease on Friday, Dec. 30.
