If you asked the average person what county government provides, you may get some pat answers like collecting property taxes or issuing license plates. And while those are two of the most common interactions we provide, there’s a whole lot more available to residents and businesses. 

To help sort out the programs and services we offer, we launched County 101, a resource that provides information on all things related to the county, including programs and services, information on how the County is funded, and how we help keep the county a place you want to call home. 

Plus, we hope to share some golden nuggets that illustrate how your tax dollars are spent. For instance, did you know that Arapahoe County always balances its budget? In fact, we have a lengthy track record of fiscal responsibility that includes awards and consistently high bond ratings.
