As the Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG) aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, they’re inviting you to share your thoughts on transportation planning as far out as 2050.
DRCOG’s recently updated 2050 Metro Vision Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) provides a comprehensive vision for improving how the Denver region’s residents and visitors get around, and it steers the area’s investments in our multimodal transportation system.
In coordination with local and regional partners, DRCOG’s staff has been working on updating the 2050 RTP to meet greenhouse gas emission reduction levels set for the region by the State’s newly adopted Greenhouse Gas Transportation Planning Standard.
The draft of the updated plan is available through an on-demand virtual open house. Public comment will be taken through 5 p.m. Sept. 6, and a virtual public hearing will be held at 4 p.m. Sept. 7. All comments received at and prior to the public hearing will be provided to DRCOG’s Transportation Advisory Committee and Board prior to the plan’s adoption.
The virtual open house features an idea wall and mark-up documents to gather public input. DRCOG is also hosting a series of virtual public meetings during the comment period, on Aug. 24 and Sept. 1 and 2. You can register to attend one of the meetings on the project’s website.
