Yeeehaaww! Last weekend we hosted more than 28,000 visitors at the 2022 Arapahoe County Fair, marking the second-largest attendance on record for the 116-year tradition. County staff put their best feet (read: boots) forward and produced an event that celebrates the area’s agricultural and Western heritage.

In addition to the always popular midway rides, the Fair featured tons of family-friendly entertainment and educational opportunities. Fairgoers were treated this year to two CPRA rodeos, several tractor pulls, Dock Dogs, live music, fireworks, kids corral, train rides and lots of hands-on activities. Public competitions and 4-H completion events showcased the best of Arapahoe County, and the Livestock Auction supported our younger attendees in their animal husbandry skills.

The Homestead area taught visitors about our history and provided a glimpse of life on the plains in the not-so-distant past. County offices and departments were also on hand to engage with constituents and answer questions.
