Although the coronavirus public health effects are being felt by literally everyone, they’re hitting our most vulnerable populations the hardest. In response to this, various Arapahoe County departments, jurisdictions and ancillary entities are both creating new programs and initiatives and ramping up existing services that will help as many people as possible weather this crisis. If you or someone you know might benefit from these programs, please contact the providers directly or spread the word about the available resources. Among the options are:
- A one-time rental assistance program for Arapahoe County residents who meet the criteria
- The City of Englewood is providing rental assistance for its residents
- This City of Aurora has funding available to assist with rental assistance and eviction prevention, as well as housing for individuals diagnosed with or symptomatic of Covid-19
- Integrated Family Community Services (IFCS) has food assistance available to help those in need
- Aurora Warms the Night will screen individuals in Aurora for rental assistance
- Change the Trend is providing resources, hygiene products, sleeping bags and other assistance to individuals experiencing homelessness. This is a collaborative effort that mobilizes and equips the Englewood, Littleton, and Sheridan communities to constructively engage the issue of homelessness
- Café 180 will be providing meals to those in need between Mondays and Saturdays, beginning at 11 a.m.
- MOVEMENT 5280 will be providing lunches, drinks, hygiene items and other resources directly behind their building at 3485 S Broadway in Englewood
- STRIDE Community Health Center is doing Covod-19 screenings and provides low cost medical care for those in need
