MEDIA ADVISORY: Deputy to receive Hero Award today for extraordinary action

Deputy Ben Sadler fixes flags at Grand View High

WHAT:  The Cherry Creek School District Superintendent Scott Siegfried will present Arapahoe County Sheriff's Deputy Ben Sadler with its December Hero Award.  The CCSD Heroes Award honors those in the Cherry Creek Schools community who have taken extraordinary actions that support the district’s dedication to excellence. 

WHEN:  Monday, December 9 at 2:00 p.m. (Media, please arrive by 1:30 for set-up).

WHERE:  The Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office at 13101 East Broncos Parkway, Centennial, CO 80112.

WHO: The Cherry Creek School District and ACSO Deputy Ben Sadler.

WHY:  After Sadler got off of work on Veterans Day, he went to Grandview High School to tie up American flags that were hanging upside down, or on the ground from the blizzard. Read the story.
