On May 21, the Arapahoe County 911 Authority sent an email to current subscribers of the County’s 911 alert system.
If you received this email, we want to assure you that this is an official email from the Arapahoe County 911 Authority.
The 911 Authority serves all residents and businesses located within Arapahoe County (except the City of Aurora), as well as small sections of Jefferson and Douglas counties that fall within the City of Littleton.
The County is moving to a new alert system, called CodeRED Community Notification System. CodeRED will be used to help disseminate important or critical information during an emergency.
This system enables 911 to provide you with critical information quickly in a variety of situations, such as severe weather, police activity, missing persons, unexpected road closures, evacuations of buildings or neighborhoods, emergencies and other important community news
This is how we contact you during an emergency.
We need all current and new subscribers to enter their information into the CodeRED system.
Visit www.ArapAlert.org and click on the sign-up button. Please enter your contact information, any additional phone numbers, as well as text and email addresses.
Please check to ensure your information is accurate.
If you do not have Internet access, please contact a friend or family member to assist you. You can also call the CodeRed support line at 800-566-9780 and press Option 3 for assistance.
It is important that you enter your information because if we can’t contact you, we can’t alert you.
Help us, help you stay safe in an emergency.
