The main functions of the Arapahoe County Treasurer are:

• Act as bond agent
• Administer tax deferral program pursuant to statute
• Collect property taxes on real estate, personal property and centrally assessed property, pursuant to state statute
• Distribute tax revenue to nine school districts, 13 cities and towns, 10 tax increment districts, and 322 special districts, pursuant to state statute
• Invest all available funds
• Produce certificates of taxes due as requested
• Provide original and delinquent tax statements to all property owners
• Provide receipts upon request
• Serve as a board member for the county's retirement plan
