Transportation Division

The Transportation Division is responsible for all infrastructure capital improvements, traffic operations and transportation planning in unincorporated Arapahoe County. The Transportation Division has been recognized with over 15 industry awards in the past 10 years for project delivery and innovation. Our sections include:

Capital Improvement Program

The Capital Improvement Program is a section that is responsible for the study, design and construction of the County's transportation infrastructure and rehabilitation of existing infrastructure. Check out our active projects.

Transportation Planning and Studies

Transportation Planning is an on-going collaborative process to evaluate alternatives, determine recommendations and set priorities for current and future project funding that will result in a multimodal transportation system that will serve the community for decades to come.

Traffic Operations Program

The Traffic Operations Program is responsible for the construction (with the Capital Improvement Program), operation and maintenance of all unincorporated Arapahoe County traffic signals, implementation of master traffic control systems for major arterial roadways and development, implementation and updating of signal timing/ coordination programs for the County's traffic signal system.

Support and Review Services

The Transportation Division also provides support to the Road and Bridge Division by supporting the Asset Management Systems for roadways.
