Patrol Services is led by Patrol Captain Ken McKlem who is responsible for operational activities of the Patrol Services Section.
Patrol Service deputies are guided by the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office mission to provide quality service with an emphasis on integrity, professionalism and community spirit.
Areas of Responsibility
Areas of responsibility are divided into eight precincts. Patrol lieutenants, also called "area commanders," are responsible for ensuring that effective methods of crime control and quality of life strategies are initiated in their assigned areas by rapidly deploying Sheriff's Office personnel and resources to alleviate crime patterns.
Who We Serve
Through strong partnerships with the community, deputies provide quality law enforcement service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to the 197,045 residents of unincorporated Arapahoe County, the City of Centennial and the towns of Foxfield, Bennett and Deer Trail while assigned to specific precincts and substations.
Members handle over 86,000 calls for service annually, striving to control crime and improve the quality of life for our community. To give community members a behind-the-scenes look at what happens on patrol, we do offer a Ride Along Program.
