Arapahoe County Partnering for the Holidays
Share the season with neighbors in need!Partnering for the Holidays creates a special holiday season for local individuals and families in need. The program was created by employees of Arapahoe County Human Services and is a charitable program of the non-profit organization, Arapahoe County Foundation.
Partnering for the Holidays provides holiday gifts for Arapahoe County residents who are involved as clients with Arapahoe County Human Services. The program benefits those who may otherwise go without during the holiday season, including children and adults in crisis, victims of abuse or neglect, or those experiencing financial hardship.
We partner with community members like you from across the metro-Denver area who generously donate new holiday gifts for these families. Families have told us what they really appreciate is experiencing the joy that others receive when they find just that right gift for their family members.
This year, we are partnering with Elevation Christian Church in Aurora to host a one-day Winter Wonderland Gift shop for Human Services clients. This event allows those we serve in Human Services to have an exclusive opportunity to come to the shop and pick out holiday gifts. Thanks to the donations from the public and support of volunteers we are able to make the season brighter for Arapahoe County Human Services clients.
In order to qualify for this event, a family and individual must be referred through Arapahoe County Human Services by a caseworker or program specialist.
General Items on Wish Lists
In an effort to reduce the risk of spreading COVID, we are asking you to highly consider only donating gift cards (increments of $25) this year. This allows us to sanitize the gifts and reduce the number of “hands” that touch each gift before providing it to the family. If you feel compelled to buy an actual item (we know it’s hard to stick to just gift cards), please consider the suggested gifts below. These are the items that our families, children and adults need most.
