Community Health

Community health focuses on the wellbeing of an overall geographic area and aims to protect and improve health by supporting the people who live and work in Arapahoe County in making healthy choices.

We help our community prevent disease and promote wellbeing by offering preventative health services and educational resources to encourage healthy habits.

Our Community Health Programs

Sexual Health: We provide confidential birth control and sexual health services to all genders to promote the sexual health of all patients.

Substance Use: Our efforts seek to empower participants to maintain and improve their own health while also preventing opioid overdose and HIV/Hepatitis C transmission within our community.

Immunizations: Routine childhood and adolescent immunizations, as well as recommended immunizations for all ages (such as annual flu shots), are offered at low- to no-cost at our clinics.

Parent/Child Health: We support parents and their children through a variety of programs including nurse family partnerships and nurse liaisons.

Nutrition for Women, Infants, Children (WIC): WIC provides free nutritious foods and nutrition education to improve the health of participating families that include pregnant, breastfeeding and postpartum women, infants and children up to the age of 5 years.

Tobacco Use Prevention: If you are ready to quit tobacco—or even thinking about quitting in the future—we can point you to resources that can get you started.

Mental Health: Let's help shine a light on mental health and talk about it with family, friends and professionals to help get the care we need.

Partner Resources: Helpful tools and information for municipalities, school districts, and other community partners.
