Arapahoe County is studying parking in the Parker Triangle, which is within the Four Square Mile Neighborhood. Through the years, Parker Triangle citizens have raised concerns about oversized and commercial vehicles parking on residential streets. Resident concerns also include safety, availability of parking and aesthetics.
In 2020, Public Works and Development conducted a parking study, which examined these issues. Along with the study, a slideshow presentation is available. We invite you to view the presentation and provide feedback.
Study Findings
The study has determined that on-street parking in the Parker Triangle area, which includes the parking of oversized and commercial vehicles, could be described as a quality-of-life/aesthetic issue. Adequate parking is available to meet the current demand on these roadways and allows for normal street operations. Current parking is safe, when not in violation of existing regulations. In most instances, oversized and commercial vehicles are parked legally, while any violations have been forwarded to the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office for enforcement. If you see a suspected parking violation, please contact the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office non-emergency numberat 303-795-4711 or use their online citizen reporting tool.
