Adult Citizens' Academy

The Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office Citizens’ Academy for adults provides a behind-the-scenes look at the Sheriff’s Office. The academy is held twice each year, in the spring and fall for adults 21 years of age and older.

The five-week academy is typically held from 6 to 9 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and includes two Saturday classes. Food is provided during each class.

Due to Covid-19, the Spring academy will be held in a virtual format on GoToMeeting. Participation in the academy requires a commitment of three hours, two nights per week, for the four-week period, and one Saturday. There is no fee for the academy.

The 2021 Spring Citizens’ Academy is February 2 - February 27, 2021. We are now accepting applications for our Spring Academy. The class is limited to 25 people and is based on first come, first serve basis. There is no waiting list.
