24-Hour Document Drop Boxes
Many Motor Vehicle and Recording services can be completed using our red document drop boxes, located outside every one of our branch offices. Boxes are secure, accessible 24 hours a day, and requests are processed more quickly than mail orders. Learn what services can be completed using a drop box.

Appointments for In-Person Services
Note that some in-person services are available by appointment only. Appointments are available Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. – 4 p.m. and can be made online for:
- First-time motor vehicle registration, license plates and motor vehicle titles
- Recorder: legal documents, marriage licenses, civil unions
- If you need assistance with Marriage Licenses, please visit the Marriage License web page for special instructions
- New passport processing
- Elections: To check or update your voter registration information, visit: ArapahoeVotes.gov/my-voter-info
- All vehicle registration renewals must be completed at a self-service kiosk, online, by mail, or at a secure 24-hour drop box (located outside all four Arapahoe County Motor Vehicle offices).

All Motor Vehicle submissions must include the following information:
Please make checks payable to: Arapahoe County Clerk and Recorder-Motor Vehicle Including this information on a letter accompanying your documents will allow a faster processing of your transaction, and allow you the choice of having them mailed or picked up at the office. Disability Placard transactions must include a completed/signed DR 2219 form for certification or recertification.
