Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) is an international fellowship of men and women who once had a drinking problem. It is a non-professional, self-supporting, non-denominational, multiracial, apolitical and almost omnipresent. There is no safe or educational requirements. Membership is open to anyone who wants to do something about their drinking problem.
The Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office offers AA meetings to all inmates at the detention facility. Community volunteers donate approximately one hour of their time each week to conduct the meetings. AA material is available for the inmates upon request.
