Responsibilities:
David C. Walcher is the Arapahoe County Sheriff, and as the Chief Law Enforcement Officer in the County, he is required by statute to:
  • Keep and preserve the peace.
  • Serve and execute all processes, writs, precepts and orders issued or made by lawful authorities.
  • Serve the civil courts of record held in the county.
  • Maintain charge and custody of the county jail.
  • Act as fire warden in case of prairie or forest fires.

We will continue to earn the respect and support of our community, and together we will continue to make a difference and ensure Arapahoe County continues to be a safe place to raise families, conduct business and enjoy life.
