Dog License
A dog license is your pet's ticket home!

Licensing Information
dog licenseArapahoe County requires yearly licensing of all dogs six months of age or older for residents living in unincorporated areas. The owner must provide a copy of a current rabies certificate issued by a veterinarian in order to obtain a license.

  • $12 if the dog is spayed or neutered
  • $24 if the dog is unaltered
  • One free dog per senior household
  • No charge for Service dogs
  • 3 Year license are available with a current 3 years rabies license.

Steps to License Your Dog
  1. Verify your address to confirm what jurisdiction you live in 
    • If you live in Unincorporated Arapahoe County, proceed to step 2
    • If you live in a different jurisdiction, contact your animal control
  2. Complete application and pay applicable fees online, by mail or in person:
    • Online – fill out information & pay fees online with a credit card
      • Senior licenses and service dog licenses cannot be completed online and must be either mailed in or obtained in person
    • By mail – mail in completed application with check or money order
    • In person – bring in completed application with cash, check or money order, or credit card to our office at 6924 S Lima St Centennial, CO 80112
