Welfare Concerns
Be a Pet's Advocate
dog in carAnimal welfare can take on many forms. A concern can be pets left outside without water, adequate shelter or food. If you observe a pet under these conditions please contact the Denver Dumb Friends League welfare investigators. Some situations can include concerns with livestock or long-term issues. Please contact their staff at 303-923-0022 or visit the DDFL website.

Pets left inside vehicles during extreme hot or cold weather has become a common and serious issue. Please contact your local Animal Control or Law Enforcement agency if you see a situation regarding an animal left inside a care without water or airflow.

If the situation is one that concerns livestock or exhibits a long-term pattern, the Dumb Friends League welfare investigators may be better able to help you. They can be reached through their website or at 303-923-0022.
